Sipping a rare vintage in a sun-soaked vineyard. Sumptuous dinners discovering how to pair wines and food. Sitting across the table with a small family of wine producers. Exploring stunning scenery en-route to a local market. And much, much more.
Probably the most famous red wine producing region in the world, but also home to some gorgeous dry whites and luscious sweet wines. Bordeaux has it all and we saw the main highlights in this long weekend trip – we visited a cooper to see how oak barrels are made, went to top chateaux in the Medoc, Sauternes, Graves, St. Emilion and Pomerol, dined on delicious food and enjoyed the beautiful city from our centrally located hotel.
'I learnt so much about Bordeaux on this trip that will help me have renewed appreciation of these wines. A must-do trip for anyone seriously interested in wines -both educational and enjoyable.'—Azra Moiz
'A truly Premier Grand Cru Classé experience.'—Mike Hadwin
Our most popular trip to the wine region closest to the UK! We were based in a lovely 4 star hotel right in the centre of Reims. We visited one of the Grande Marques to see their extensive cellars but the highlight of the weekend were the visits to the smaller family producers. These gave a much more personal experience not to mention the opportunity to buy excellent quality champagne at very reasonable prices. Always a really fun weekend which many people have been on several times!
'Highly recommend this trip, it was very well organised, thanks to Christos. Great hotel, fabulous Champagne houses. Would definitely go again.'—Kelly Revill
'Fabulous weekend in Champagne, great group of people, excellent tours and tastings, visits to the festive Christmas market, dinner at a Michelin Star restaurant!'—Cindy

We went to some of the best Greek wineries including Gerovassiliou, Alpha Estate, Biblia Chora and Kir-Yianni. We also visited the ancient sites of Vergina, Philippi and Dodoni as well as the stunning Vikos Gorge and the extraordinary mountain top monasteries of Meteora close to the beautiful town of Metsovo where we were based for some of the tour.

A fascinating tour of one of Europe’s lesser known wine regions. Part of the Balkans, Bulgaria’s new wave winemakers are producing some excellent wines and we tasted many of these from international and also local varieties like Mavrud and Rubin. We stayed for 2 nights at the beautiful Midalidare Winery and Spa and 2 nights in Plovdiv the wine capital of Bulgaria and one of the oldest inhabited towns in Europe.
In Plovdiv we saw Roman ruins, Art Deco buildings and the highlight of the trip – the Food and Wine Festival in the Old Town. What an amazing experience tasting wines amongst historic buildings.
Excellent wines and great fun to try different grape varieties like Melnik and Mavrod. Excellent organisation by Christos with Bulgarian Wine Tours hosts Zina and Vasilov. The Wine Festival in Plovdiv was an absolute treat and will be a life-long memory of how to enjoy wine tasting, in an uncrowded historic old town with outstanding wines and new discoveries.
