Northern Greece Wine Tour

Sorry, this tour is now fully booked! But you can still add your name to the waitlist to be the first to know if any spaces become available.
Follow the footprints of ancient civilisations as we explore the lesser-known north of the country. Discover diverse wine regions, off-beat classical sites, mystical mountain-top monasteries and stunning scenery. We will visit three main wine regions: Naousa and Amyndeo near Thessalonika, and Drama close to the town of Kavala, and experience some of the best Greek wineries including Gerovassiliou, Alpha Estate, Thymiopoulos and Kir-Yianni. We’ll also explore the ancient sites of Vergina, the beautiful town of Kastoria, and the extraordinary mountain-top monasteries of Meteora. Truly a classic wine tour, in every sense.

This evening a group dinner in the gastronomic restaurant of Palea Poli.

Day 4: Tuesday 18th June

In the afternoon, we’ll continue east to the town of Drama, our base for the next two nights. Free evening.

Day 8: Saturday 22nd June
Drama! This morning visit two wineries in the region of Drama, whose wines provide an interesting contrast to those of Naousa as they use more of the ‘international varieties’.
